Gaza Under Fire

Gaza Under Fire

SO THIS IS RATHER BELATED but in case you haven’t noticed, An Alarming Shade is presently on hiatus. I’d rather not delve into the why of it all just yet: don’t worry, still surrounded by plenty of movies (and books). I just have less time to write about all the brilliant stuff I’m absorbing.

BUT WHILE I’M GONE why don’t you please check out the Palestinian Children s Relief Fund in light of the recent IDF attacks on the civilians of Gaza. They are a non-political, non-profit organisation who are only looking out for the best of those innocent survivors in the middle east. You know the deal: every little bit helps and I am more than certain it will make you feel at least a little better the next time CNN or BBC decide to censor the war crimes of Israel on their evening newscast. I highly recommend watching or reading Al Jazeera English for more accurate (less biased) coverage.

BUT BACK TO MOVIES. I’ll leave y’all with a few quick notes. Firstly: if you’re in the USA, feel free to skim my review of Frank. And then maybe go see the film because it is downright delightful. Next up. Rise of the Planet of the Apes is worth the big screen treatment  so you should totally go see it if you have the chance. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is okay but probably a little racist/propagandic (seriously, tweet me about this if you have questions). I am almost sinfully active on Twitter so that’s the best place to hear from me.

Alright! That’s it for now folks. I’ll see you in the fall or winter, depending on when I re-acquire my blogging calm. Life is very exciting. Be excited!
